Viva
International, Inc. “Viva” is a publicly traded holding
company that is concentrating its efforts on the
development of commercial airlines as well as the
acquisition of airlines and aviation outsourcing
companies. The Company’s primary focus is the Caribbean
marketplace. As such, Viva expects to capitalize on the
underdeveloped and under serviced areas within the
Caribbean.
Originally incorporated in Puerto Rico as a private
company in 2002, Viva entered into a stock exchange
agreement with a public company in January of 2003 the
Auxer Group, Inc. Since January of 2003, Viva has
started a subsidiary operation to create an airline
operating certificate (AOC) from a hub in Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic. Largely through this effort, the
subsidiary will be recognized as a “flag carrier” of the
Dominican Republic upon activation of the AOC. As such,
enormous route structures and economic capabilities will
be available to the subsidiary.
During
the first quarter of 2005, Viva incorporated Eastern
Caribbean Airlines, Inc. in Puerto Rico and acquired
charter operator Cool Tours, Inc. d/b/a San Juan
Aviation. Operations commenced and continued through
the third quarter of 2005 at which time the existing
aircraft was scheduled for maintenance. Operations were
suspended since the owner of the aircraft did not make
the necessary repairs in accordance with FAA guidelines.
